Re-launch of the NSG 438, 30 kV ESD simulator, fully ISO 10605 compliant

June 2008

With the re-launch of the NSG 438 we are pushing a known and well established ESD
simulator with more feature and customer benefits. Those are namly a complete automotive ESD set including all necessary standard networks given in the IS0 10605 (ISO/FDIS 10605:2008).

Furthermore the new look of the NSG 438 fits into the range of corporate colors. The new appearance of the base station’s front panel and the new color of the gun itself, underlines the leading market position as a ''30kV top class ESD simulator with exhaustive adjustment and setting options''.

Besides the included ISO network set (150 pF/330 Ω; 330 pF/330 Ω; 150 pF/2000 Ω; 330 pF/2000 Ω) we still provide the internal predefined ISO self-test which confirms to the user before each test procedure that the simulator is in proper working condition. This feature eliminates the need of a timeconsuming verification procedure by means of an expensive extra high impedance HV meter.

The NSG 438 is also very multi-useable in the automotive environment where little helping ''fingers'' give a kind of simplification. Flexible fingertips reach hidden test points, especially useful where sensitive test points are covered by a dashboard for example.

Among a complete accessory range, you will find the E- and H-field adaptor sets, which are useful device examples for industrial and high-tech companies. With an increasing demand of digitalization and communication resulting in myriads of product, fast E-field testing is becoming an important area.

Another common approach for H-field examples are circuits with rapid current changes. Thanks to the free selectable discharge repetition rate, test variations are innumerable for the user. Improved reproducibility may be achieved in combination with a discharge removing device.
