First calibration was successfully performed on a NNB 41 LISN on 3rd February 2007. To date, we have calibrated 3 units of LISNs, 2 units of Power Amplifiers, and 1 units of RF immunity CDNs. We also manage to write a simple program with Compliance 3 Immunity software, to measure the various parameters required in the Amplifier calibration report. This improves repeatability and reduces the time required to perform this calibration.
RF calibration capability also allows us to calibrate some of our in-house test equipments, for example, attenuators used for transient calibration. This saves us from having to send the attenuators to other cal labs for calibration, saving cost and equipment down time. Another aspect of RF calibration is that we now can provide traceable calibration report for our demo stocks. Demo stocks are brought in for sales purposes and can later be re-conditioned and sold to customers. Very often, the original calibration certificates are out of date. We are able to provide traceable
calibration certificates, for example, for a stock unit of pre-amplifier.
In following months, we will continue to develop specific calibration procedures for
other RF instruments. Example, ISNs, preamplifiers, NSG 2070/NSG 4070, etc.
We are currently formulating Measurement Uncertainties for transient calibrations. Once this is realized, we will proceed to formulate for RF calibration as well.
